Wild Rose
Wild Rose
Wild rose: sweetly scented and packed with thorns, it teaches us how to be soft but strong at the same time. A rose’s thorns help to store moisture which the plant can use during dry spells, and it has plenty of medicinal properties too, acting as a soothing support for an anxious heart.
A cluster of wild rose shown in full bloom, with leaves, a single bud and thorns to show all sides of this beautiful flower.
This is a handmade item. The leaves, blossoms and buds are all made with handpainted crepe paper, and wired for shape and longevity.
It is displayed on a wood frame painted in a shade of old roses, as a reminder of how the rose fades and turns to fruit, continuing on its lifecycle. The edges of the frame are painted with a lustrous gold wax, and it hangs simply on the wall with a keyhole on the back. Each piece comes signed with a gold wax seal on the reverse, embossed with the Golden Age logo.
dimensions: 6.5” wide x 10” tall
This piece is archival, but is recommended to be displayed away from direct sunlight to keep the colours from fading.
