learn the art of noticing

Learn the power of your own actions as you transform paper into petals!

Under Kathryn’s careful guidance, participants learn how to colour and sculpt a flower’s petals in paper, how to create realistic looking centres, and how to finish their blooms with leaves and other botanical details. All materials are provided.

From beginners to more advanced crafters, all creative skill levels can be accommodated. Kathryn’s teaching style is encouraging and inquisitive, and workshops feature a mix of one-on-one and group learning.

Creating a favourite flower in paper adds a fresh beauty to what already grows in nature. Beyond learning the skill of paper flower making, workshops contain a hopeful encouragement to see the world around you differently by noticing details that might have previously been missed.

hosting a workshop

Interested in hosting a paper flower workshop?

Though based in Toronto, Kathryn is also available to travel to teach workshops too. They can be fully customized to suit your needs, and when working with a host, Kathryn considers the workshop to be developed in collaboration with you.

Perfect for intimate retreat environments and wellness spaces, botanical gardens or flower shops, creative retail spaces, arts councils, galleries and community centres, a paper flower workshop is the perfect way to enliven your community through the beauty of nature.

Shorter workshops can also be a unique feature at a marketing event, or even as part of a birthday party or bridal shower — create a flower as a keepsake of the event!
