Shipping + Returns
Processing time
The time needed to create and prepare an order for dispatch varies. Refer to the product listing for more information. General production time for pieces from The Perennial Collection is typically found within this site’s header. Custom orders will vary, and will be determined by the artist as part of the ordering process. Any delays in production time will be shared by email. For updates on production time after placing your order, please send an email.
Shipping time
Orders take approximately 1-2 weeks for arrival, depending on their destination. All works are shipped via Canada Post, include tracking information and insurance against the approximate value of the piece. You will receive a separate email from Canada Post when your piece has been shipped, but often those emails end up in junk folders, so check there first if you don’t see anything.
Shipping fees
Shipping is an additional cost and will be shown on your order. The cost of shipping also includes handling, which is quite time intensive — packaging fine art for secure shipment is more involved than putting a letter in an envelope!
Customs and import taxes
Buyers are responsible for any customs and import taxes that may apply. Golden Age Botanicals is not responsible for delays due to customs, and cannot provide any additional information as to the cost of customs and import taxes.
Cancellations
Cancellations are accepted if requested within 2 days of purchase.
Returns or exchanges are not available
But please send an email if you have any problems with your order.
unpacking + care information
Unpacking your piece
In an effort to reduce waste, Golden Age tries to re-use packaging materials whenever possible, and to use materials that are recycled or compostable. All efforts are made to ensure that your piece arrives safely, however some flattening can occur during shipping. This is taken into consideration when designing your piece, so petals and leaves can be easily adjusted upon arrival.
Wall pieces are packaged by affixing them to a piece of flat cardboard, which is then taped to the bottom of the shipment box. Simply cut the string used to affix your piece to the cardboard — no need to try and extract the entire package from the bottom of the box!
Freestanding pieces are similarly affixed to the inside of the shipment box. Pieces displayed in glass domes or cloches will be fully assembled and shipped with bubble wrap and other cushioning around the glass. The glass dome will be taped to the base with painter’s tape. It’s best to open the shipment box, remove the entire piece while it’s still encased in bubble wrap, unwrap the bubble wrap and then remove the tape from the base.
How to display your piece
All efforts are made while designing to ensure the longevity and durability of your piece. It should be displayed away from direct sunlight to prevent colours from fading, and away from any moisture or direct heat. It can be cleaned with a light duster, or compressed air/ a hairdryer set on cold and at the lowest setting, held 18-24” away from your piece.
