Bring in spring, learning the art of paper flower making! Create a beautifully lifelike crepe paper daffodil in this beginners class, even without any previous flower experience. Toronto artist Kathryn Bondy of Golden Age Botanicals will guide you through a step-by-step process of creating a crepe paper daffodil, as you learn the techniques of making paper come to life in your hands.
In this workshop you will create one daffodil in a colour palette of your choice, using hand-dyed crepe paper, wire and glue. Kathryn will begin the class with a short explanation of how to use a real flower as a model for a paper piece, and then guide you through creating each element of your daffodil: the center, the petals, and details on the stems. You will leave the class with additional materials to create more daffodils at home, along with an instruction book and templates, a list of local suppliers, and your very own beautiful paper daffodil.
Light refreshments will be served!
